Safety Director

What We’re Looking For…
 
Shell Point has an opportunity for a highly motivated, experienced and reliable Safety Director to ensure safety compliance with all local, state and federal safety regulations and laws.  This position includes maintenance and development of company-wide safety policies for our property with four “neighborhoods”, 1,200 employees and 2,500 residents.  The safety director must be able to identify opportunities for improving safety conditions and have the ability to execute various safety programs such as the Safety Council and various safety committees.  The ability to effectively and compassionately communicate safety guidelines and corrections to a multi-disciplinary workforce is a mandatory requirement.  Position will also conduct respirator fit testing.  This position is also responsible for Shell Point emergency planning including the hurricane response and evacuation plan and will manage the Security department for the organization.
 
A minimum of five years safety management experience, preferably within healthcare or a large resort environment is required.   The OSHA 10 hour training is a must, OSHA 30 hour or 40 hours is a plus.  OSHA 500 certification is greatly preferred.
