What We’re Looking For…
Currently, we are seeking a full-time Payment Posting Specialist to join our team! Our payment posting specialist accurately posts payments and physician charges in a timely manner as well as resolves denied physician claims.
Job Functions (essential): Payment/Charge Posting
- Downloads ERA files from practice management system and posts all electronic payments
- Identifies payments, write-offs, and patient balances on insurance company explanation of benefits
- Balances payment batches to deposits
- Posts payments to the appropriate accounts timely and accurately
- Identifies payment discrepancies and payer denial/underpayment trends
- Researches and reconciles insurance/patient overpayments
- Balances payments posted against deposits made each month for end of month closing
- Reviews and properly appeals unpaid or denied Pavilion physician claims in a timely manner until resolution
- Posts Pavilion physician charges accurately and in a timely manner
- Identifies issues with physician coding/documentation for follow up education
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years medical billing/collections experience including proficiency in CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 Coding
- Knowledge of Continuing Care Retirement Communities preferable
- CPC certification and ICD-10 certification strongly preferred
