The Tribby Arts Center is the hub of artistic endeavors for Shell Point residents including painting, photography, drawing, pottery, quilting, music, singing and performing.  Additionally, the 400 seat Connie Brown Hall provides a venue for concerts and theatre performances by outside groups and performers.
 
This is a unique position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Arts Center to include: scheduling performances in Connie Brown Hall, reviewing and signing performance contracts, managing logistics for outside performers, overseeing technical staff, writing copy for brochures, programs and other promotional materials, meeting regularly with the resident leaders of the Arts Center, supervising the Technical Manager and Program Coordinator, overseeing the box office function, overseeing the maintenance and housekeeping of the building and ensuring that resident needs are met.   Ultimately, this position is the liaison to the resident artists and is responsible for ensuring that policies and procedures are in place and that gallery exhibits and performances are consistent with Shell Point’s overall mission and quality standards.
 
Candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree in event management, hospitality, the arts, business or related.   Proven experience in successfully managing events, concerts, exhibits and/or stage performances is required.  Experience managing activities programming and events in a hospitality or retirement community environment will be considered.   The ideal candidate will have the ability to: successfully manage event logistics from the planning stage through event completion, clearly and effectively communicate verbally and in writing, be tactful in working with others to resolve disagreement and conflict and must also have the ability to speak to groups both large and small.
