Director of Nursing- Skilled Nursing Facility

What We’re Looking For…
Currently, we are searching for a Director of Nursing for our Skilled Nursing Facility- the Larsen Health Center. The DON is responsible for the overall clinical management of our skilled nursing community. 
Specific responsibilities include:
Employment decisions for a nursing department consisting of over 150 employees
Clinical leadership including but not limited to monitoring of Quality Measures, Incident Reports, Wound Management, Infection Control, Risk Management, Process Improvement Projects, and Policy Development
Ensuring appropriate level of staff to meet the care needs of residents
Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
Provide leadership to the nursing department in serving the residents, families, and staff in a caring, compassionate, and competent manner
Assume responsibility for the Larsen Health Center in the absence of the Administrator
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years’ experience in the field of nursing, at least five of which in a supervisory capacity. He/she will also have a current and active RN license in the state of Florida, along with training and/or experience in the area of Long-Term Care and/or Rehabilitation. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
