Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)- Skilled Nursing Facility

What We’re Looking For…
 
Currently, we are searching for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) of our Skilled Nursing Facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) assumes the role of Director of Nursing in the absence of the DON and is second in charge of planning, directing, decision making and evaluating the delivery of nursing services in the SNF. The ADON also acts as the Infection Control Officer, and collaborates with the Director of Nursing and the Medical Director in developing infection control programs and processes. Additionally, he/she will serve as the back-up to the Education Coordinator to ensure regulatory compliance for annual, mandated in-service training for newly hired and existing Larsen Health Center nursing personnel in the skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of ten years’ experience in the field of nursing, at least five of which in a supervisory capacity. He/she will also have a current and active RN license in the state of Florida, along with training and/or experience in the area of Long-Term Care and/or Rehabilitation. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
