Shell Point is conveniently located along the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers, Florida, only two miles away from the renowned “seashell capital of the world,” Sanibel Island.

In addition to being one of Southwest Florida’s most coveted continuing care retirement communities (CCRC) and the largest in the state, we are also a nationally recognized as the second-largest single-site CCRC in the country, with 2,400 residents and more than 1,100 employees.

Shell Point offers independent retirement living, assisted living, and skilled nursing in an active, resort-style environment for 2,400 residents. Lifestyle amenities include deep-water boating access with free dockage, six open-to-the-public restaurants, a championship 18-hole golf course with an elegantly appointed clubhouse, and other recreational and educational activities.

Currently, we are in search of a full-time (non-certified) hospitality care assistant for one of our three assisted living facilities: The Arbor.

The ideal candidate will be a caring and compassionate individual who works well with the elderly population.

The Springs:

The Springs is an assisted living facility in the Waters Watch neighborhood at Shell Point, featuring 105 private residences. In addition to each resident’s private apartment, there are intimate parlors, seating areas, and activities rooms to provide extra opportunities for entertaining guests. The Springs also has a pool, an “any-time” dining area, an on-call staff physician 24 hours a day, and weekly scheduled recreational activities.

As a Hospitality Care Assistant working at The Springs, you will be a part of a dynamic, competent team of skilled professionals working together to improve the lives of our residents every day.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance with daily living including:
    • Making breakfast
    • Cleaning resident rooms

Job Qualifications:

  • Ability to work well with the elderly population
  • Prior caregiving experience preferred
  • Ability to work either:
    • 6:00AM-6:30PM
    • On-Call, As Needed (PRN)
  • Ability to work rotating weekends
