We are seeking a qualified candidate who will perform construction estimating and documentation for all areas of our Apartment Preparation department. Some duties will include coordinating and scheduling contractors/vendors to complete necessary site visits related to estimating apartment renovation work to include plumbing, rough and finish carpentry, framing, drywall, electrical, HVAC, painting; oversee bid documents provided by contractor/vendor to ensure that the accounting, change orders and/or modifications fall within the established budgetary guidelines; acts as department liaison with sales counselors to provide price estimates: acts as department liaison with residents to provide price estimates and to coordinate the apartment refurb program.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in residential/commercial remodeling, or an industrial/manufacturing field responsible for estimating, bidding, pricing, providing basic accounting and/or invoice review and approval. Must also have comprehensive knowledge of current construction methods, materials, and practices and the appropriate costs associated with them, the ability to schedule and coordinate large numbers of contractors and lead them through the bidding/estimating process on a timely basis, and to interact positively and productively with construction contractors, related vendors, co-workers and residents. Exemplary customer service skills are required.
