Job Description

We are seeking a qualified candidate who will be responsible for ensuring that financial operations and daily work flow occurs in a timely manner through general and specialized accounting functions. Some duties will include creating and monitoring a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recording of fixed assets; records fixed asset acquisitions and disposals in the accounting system; monitors fixed asset spend against the capital budget; prepares and distributes monthly capital budget reports; provides fixed assets reports as needed for Form 990 tax filing, 651 and Medicare Cost reporting; prepares audit schedules related to fixed assets, assists in answering and resolving auditor inquires; participates in the monthly close processes, including preparing journal entries; compiles data for annual budget process, including capital budget. The ideal candidate will have a minimum Associates Degree in accounting, at least five years progressive work experience in accounting/finance, and at least two years hands-on experience with fixed assets. Must also have good communication skills, accuracy, be detail-oriented, and have advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and other Microsoft applications.
